A Word from Hudson Kurth
“On behalf of my self and my family, I wish to thank each and every one of you for the love and care you have continued to show me in this most difficult period of life. The loss of my dear wife is beyond description. She was the love of my life, my wife, my best friend, my partner, my companion, mother to my children and my purpose. She was gifted in dance, gardening and compassion. She was my best help with hundreds of my DECA students, as a teacher at Lakewood High School. With her help we won state and national competitions. Even to this day, I continue to discover more about the women I spent nearly 62 years with. In her more recent years, she found a love for god, as she reached out to understand his will, purpose and grace for her life. In this most difficult of times, I have found sanctuary, in my children, brother, grandchildren and friends. They have become my new focus.
As I continue on in this life, my hope is that I can step into her shoes and continue what was the unique and ill-replaceable essence of Susan Howard Kurth.
